Using a similar trend we’ve seen with Amazon offering free apps within its market place, now on the Google Play store users will be getting a free app of the week.
This free app comes courtesy through the new Family section on the Play Store that’s sponsored by PBS Kids.
The app is called Daniel Tiger Grr-ific Feelings, which normally costs $2.99.
This app allows children to discover emotions while understanding how to recognize their feelings and how to control them.
Some of the features include:
•Practice calming down just as Daniel does, with a squeeze and a deep breath.
•Feel proud as you help Daniel clean up his toys and put away the silverware.
•Count to four with Daniel when he feels so mad that he wants to roar.
How To Get The App
- To get this app, you can head over to the Play store where you will see a banner for “Free App of the Week”
- Click on the banner
- If you are on a desktop, just click the install button below to begin installation on anyone of your connected mobile devices.
There’s no sign if Google will be offering a free app of the week every week within the section.
This could just be an experiment, or a promotional offer meant to bring awareness to the new Family Apps sections newly released.
While there are still plenty of free and paid apps to choose from within Google Play, it would be interesting to see if Google extends this offering beyond the Family section.
This free app is only available for a limited time at the promotional offer before it goes back on sale at the regular price.
